Not the case. They have found dead lions with gemsbok horn wounds. They lower their heads and swing those horns when they are in danger.

Holy shit look at those horns of the gemsboks. Even more powerful weapons than the horns of a buffalo. If those make contact with you, you are DEAD or at best seriously injured. Not even a tiger would fuck with those. Well not a smart tiger anyways.

the mother used her horns to hurl her calf up and away from the cheetah. Trust me she could have make shishkebob out the cheetah, YOu go gemsbok!
