yo ! real hip hop dancing you dance on real hip hop music ...and yes funkstyles are the fundaments of hip hop dancing but if people would realy know about what funk and soultrain styles are they would dance more to the beat and not to the lyrics .they call it lyrical hip hop cause they dont got the groove to dance on the beat .if u dont like the beat why u move than on the lyrics? and no marty style is not hip hop dancing .its streetjazz

yes that is true but my comment was for those who dont like to know something different because there are a lot of dance styles for use to evolve the classical but you ,us, not biting choreos because thats what are doing some blind folks aniway peace

They are what they funkstyles have evolved into. If people hadn't started branching off and adapting, then hip hop would never have gone anywhere beyond funkstyles, and would be pretty boring now. It's like classical vs. jazz piano. Yes, classical piano is important, and no one SHOULD criticize the artistry of that, but jazz came from the evolution of classical, and if you cannot properly play classical piano, then you cannot TRULY appreciate jazz piano.

This discussion might be over; I don't know. But I wanted to throw in my opinion. I agree with Funkloops, to an extent. I think that the funkstyles- poppin, lockin, boogaloo, etc. ARE fundamental when it comes to learning hip hop culture, but I feel like the Martyism and the Shane Sparksism and krumping and everything ALSO is fundamental.
