It's in the media's hands. They pick what to air and what not to air. We just make the music and support. If they start playing more Akir, IT, Jean Grae, Nas, Rakim, Big L, AZ and all the other greats believe me these lame artist out now have no other choice but to step it up..either step it up and put effort into your lyrics or you don't get paid! Plus it's monkey see monkey do..people see Souljaboy getting paid off of trash so they think they can do it too.

A horrible year for music in general, Just generic song after generic song. Some artist that's good out there but they don't get play time or enough recognition for me to even support them.Sadly i don't know entirely whats gonna happen to this music we love ,this music we party to ,this music we cry to ,this music we make every emotion possible. I honestly can't say i know whats gonna happen to hip-hop but she'll survive. Just as long as we make the "minority" that is real turn to a "majority".

Artist like that are in this for the $, will be like "hip-hop just don't buy me the rolls of money i clean my ass wih" they'll flush away like shit. And the artist who do this just for the music will stay.Hip-hop it self isn't just dying looks at other genre's rock,pop,R&B, their all becoming a big joke. what happened to the pop that made you sad and happy,or the R&B with some soul?,or the rock with something real instead of screaming or just a singer that's there. 2008 and 2009 will be part-3

Take away the beat then... Listen to lyricism ,don't judge the song by it's beat. Immortal Technique is going mainstream to spread revolution to ignorism and he'll fail trying but many artist will come with revolution in their mind and eventually... It'll keep on going like that. He might not be what re-birthed hip-hop but he'll give her a quick-jump start. That's my prediction of hip-hop in the next 20 years it'll get better with internet providing free music. part-2.
