She actually lived in England for a while, hence the accent (it's so easy to pick up that accent...I spent 3 weeks there over the summer, and i had the accent for months!) After a while, she got an American accent. She's been places for sure, haha

Everyone has its own choice, but for me Lea's voice is amazing!!! It touch my soul.. for those who doesn't like her, sorry but we Filipinos proud of what she is..

wrong about what? forgive me, but it seems you're so intent on denying Lea won a Tony and an Olivier.LOL!!! Heads up, she won alright, you can see her acceptance speech here on youtube and to be really really sure, you can check the Tony Awards website. jeez!

"I'm not sure Filipinos know that" What the hell is that supposed to mean?..I don't want to be rude, but that is a very offending comment..

No you're wrong.

I agree. We Filipinos tend to say someone's famous when we see them guesting on local tv or on the front page of a tabloid. We overlook the fact that theater is not really an everyday man's entertainment here in the Philippines. For all I know, no Filipino has ever achieved what Lea has achieved, and no Filipino has yet to win a Tony after Lea. To see her perform live is still my wish before I die :)

she won: -Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical -Laurence Olivier Award Best Actress in a Musical -Drama Desk Award Outstanding Actress in a Musical --all for her role as Kim in Miss Saigon

This is not like the American Idol where you have to be good the first time. In a musical it's different, you have to learn a new songs and it's acceptable not to get the first, or second time. But if you don't get the tune in 3 or more times. Then obviously you're not up for the part. Actually she did pretty good. And by the way, you spelled "beginning" wrong: 1 g, 2 n. Just so you know.
